This Sunday, November 26, 2006, The Oxford University Russian Society and mifodelik were hosting a political debate between tiphareth and zhivoi on the topic of "Orange Revolution in Russia". Here is some footage I was able record during the last couple of minutes of the event:
Most noticable is nasha_sasha, who features here as the Angry Transgender Nationalist Seeking Revenge. Shortly after the incident I was able to enquire about any possible help s/he could provide to clean up the mess, however s/he and s/he's companion kindly declined, telling me that they felt it would be unappropriate for them to return to the room, and also due to lack of time, as they were in a hurry to post on LJ about the incident before anybody else, which they successfully did. Telnikoff's companion also claimed that the sole person guilty of the mess in the college room, for the cleanness of which I was carrying responsibility at that time, was the one who was "dripping flour on the floor right now". I could not quite follow his argument, as there were at least two people covered in flour, at least one of which suffered the damage colletarally, and even though the identity of the real "bad guy" might be debatable, it was pretty obvious who created the mess.
I would like to thank the president of the Russian Society for his military-like directness and immediate reaction which prevented any possible further damage; I also express my gratitude to everyone who helped me clean the room after the event.
ну ты хоть бы сказал, что не надо было мне заставлять его говорить по-ангельски, тем более что по-русски там понимали все (как я потом выяснил. ну или почти понимали) и этого (почти) убило весь евент...(хотя тогда полиси руб общ была другая в отн англ языка небось)
не то чтоб я хотел или думал ввязыватся в дискуссию...
а вообще мне понравилось. что он начал с того что нарисовал круг (картинку) ---- математично!
